Item technical details & specifications: Smith enterprise has developed a new national match style muzzle brake using the "good iron" port pattern, and slimming the profile of the brake down to match the dimensions of a usgi flash suppressor. It is a 2 piece brake, with the front end manufactured from 8620 steel which has been salt-bath nitrided for a 60 rc hardness and superior corrosion resistance and durability. The adapter is manufactured from 1144 fatigue proof steel with a standard dovetail on the top and the internal splines and castle nut hole have been wire edm cut. The adapter has also been salt-bath nitrided. The overall length of the brake is 4.25". This brake should be legal for use in all cmp matc mfg: smith enterprise specs: m14 uscg/navy muzzle brake, 1144 stress proof steal, heat-treated. Manganese phosphate.
